- My mother taught me to sew when I was in elementary school. Over the years, I've added to my skills and found myself working on everything from suit pants to heirloom christening gowns. Now my favorite projects are made for my daughter. Many of my creations can be worn for more than one season - a dress becomes a stylish shirt or winter pants become summer capris.
